Orchard Supply Hardware is an independent chain hardware store founded and based in San Jose, California. It became independent on December 30, 2011. It was formerly owned by Sears Holding Corporation and Aries Holdings. Kmart bought Sears and took on the Sears Holding Corporation name.
You can find standard hardware store items here. They do not carry as many bulk items like a giant Home Depot or Lowe's. However, you can always go to an individually owned neighborhood hardware store such as Davis Ace Hardware for friendly customer service.

2008-11-08 14:39:31 Orchard is like a local hardward store for Woodland since Cranstons closed a few years ago. It carries items in smaller quantities so you don't need to by items packaged in larger quantities than what you will use. I find that it is easier to get in and out of. About once every 3 months they have a 'we pay the sales tax' weekend. —awinchenb
