Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair

Studio Artists Gallery invites everyone to come browse for gifts and artwork during our First Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair. The fair will begin with an artists reception followed by refreshments, so come join the party. We will feature over 20 local artists and their handmade gifts.

Blues Harvest

Annual "blues party" sponsored by Friends of Adult Day Health Care. Rob Gonzales is once again coordinating the entertainment. Appearing will be Barry "the Fish" Melton, (of “Country Joe & the Fish” fame and Yolo County's recently retired Public Defender), is featured along with "West Sac Mike" McGowan and the Mighty Delta Roadmasters and special guest Bill Scholer at the annual Blues Harvest to benefit the Yolo Adult Day Health Center. Blues Harvest includes complimentary wine from select California vintners, delectable finger foods, and a Silent Auction for original works of art and unique gifts. Tickets are $30 ($15 for those under 18) and will be available at the door, at the Adult Day Health Center, (20 N. Cottonwood St. in Woodland), at the AVID READER, (617 Second St. in Davis), and at the Davis Art Center. Come join the fun and support a very worthy cause!

This year's event is Friday November 6, 2009. Heidrick Ag Center.

Stroll Through History

Historic Area of Woodland
Fall (Usually the beginning of September)

Join the fun and experience the rich history of Woodland. Activities include: Open home tours of beautiful classic homes, free guided walking tours of historic neighborhoods, free musical entertainment, a pancake breakfast, boxed lunches, antique vehicle displays, period costumes, a vintage baseball event and much more! Musical and dance entertainment will be run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Freeman Park. Groups include Lynette Kimura & the Bluetones, Folklorico de Woodland, the Putah Creek Crawdads and the Dropped Roses.

The Stroll Through History event is planned and presented entirely by volunteers. Without our volunteers, this wonderful celebration of our history would not be possible.

Father/Daughter Dinner Dance

Woodland Community & Senior Center

This semi-formal event includes a sit down dinner, dancing, raffles and activities. This is truly a special night for daddies and their daughters (of all ages). This catered event takes place at the Woodland Community & Senior Center; a photographer is on site to capture those precious moments (additional cost).

Trick or Treat Downtown Woodland

October 31st

Time: 3:00 PM (US/Pacific) Location: Main Street, Woodland, CA

Bring the kids to Downtown Woodland for trick-or-treating fun. Local merchants, non-profit organizations and community members will be offering children of the area a safe and fun Halloween. Bring your kids, mingle with your neighbors and let the kids trick-or-treat around Downtown Woodland. Come in costume and join in the costume contest.

Come walk a historic neighborhood in Woodland (First Street and now College Street) filled with luminaries lighting the way.
A coat drive benefits at-risk children and adults.

Take Back the Park

Every Thursday Evening from 5-~7pm

Let's engage in our community and make sure that our parks are safe, family-friendly places to gather, play, and socialize! Come join us every week at City Park (corner of Cross and Cleveland Streets in downtown Woodland) to hang out with friends, meet new people, give your kids a playdate, and make a difference in our community! We meet from 5pm to ~7pm every Thursday afternoon. Bring snacks/refreshments for yourself or to share, and bring your friends!
